Hello!

MY NAME IS PAMELA

My love for photography blossomed early, driven by a vivid imagination and a deep need for creative expression.

As a teen, my best friend and I would traipse around the fields and barns on her family’s property in the Pacific Northwest with a camera and a roll of film. Then we’d race to the drugstore to get 1-hour prints.

My upbringing in a devoutly religious culture came with many rules, especially for women. Yet, I frequently felt like I exceeded these confines—too loud, too confident, too sensual, too imaginative.

As an adult, I funneled that pent up energy into my art, breaking rules and defying convention. The images I love the most are blurry, uncentered, sensual, and intimate.

My first job after college was as a journalist and photographer for The Asian Reporter in Portland, Oregon, where I reported on arts and culture. In my ten years at the paper, I covered everything from Queen Noor of Jordan’s visit to a politically charged Vietnamese ballet performance. I learned to hustle, to be everywhere at once, and to be part of the story without influencing it.

I became close to the people I interviewed, discovering what they really cared about, their fears and their goals. I always tried to strike the delicate balance between telling the truth and showing people in the most favorable light.

As a wedding photographer, I bring an editorial perspective and effusive compassion to my work. I am a creative visionary, conceiving grand visions and bringing them to life with authenticity and bravery. I create images that take you right back to your special day, capturing the ephemeral nature of time and showing you in all your glorious light.

You don't have to dim your light to succeed.
